10 Weeks of Bootcamp, from the red phase, where they are forced to endure 'total control', to the white phase and then into the blue phase. Those are the first steps of turning every recruit into athletes and soldiers. Recruits wake up at 4:30 AM, have 30 minutes to take care of personal hygiene, and then head to physical fitness training, which consists of an hour of running and calisthenics. Their days finish at 9 PM. Till that time they are trained into various skills such as Map reading, Orienteering, Land Navigation, Compass Course, Hand to Hand Combat, Weapon familiarization, Combat Life Saver, Basic Rifle Marksmanship, Obstacle Course Navigation, Gas Chamber training and more. They learn to work as a team, evaluate and properly treat casualties. One more important event every soldier has to go through is the famous Victoria Tower. The aspiring soldier is confronted with overcoming the fears of heights, by conquering a 40 ft tower.
