Physical Requirements S.W.A.T.

This test involves 14 different exercises, which have to be completed in the listed order. Furthermore, all events follow each other right away. The only break the candidates get is when they are driven from the track to the swimming pool. They also do get a break when they head to the gym part of the selection test. The break is in both cases 15 min. The candidates will also be evaluated on accuracy. Proper form when climbing the wall for example is essential to the staff. There are other events that a candidate will have to go through, which is for one, a shotgun drill. It happens right after the Rope isometric hold exercise. The shotgun drill is a Parcours, where the candidate has to run with the shotgun, shoot, crawl, and climb. This is combined with a little twist where a situation will be simulated where the candidates have to quickly put on a gas- mask and throw a tennis ball into the "room". The tennis ball most likely mimicking a teargas grenade. The staff will see how quickly you can operate after you just ran parkour. The last event after the physical portion is a shooting skills test, where the candidates have to shoot successfully from a 25-yard distance. If they further pass this test, they will be invited into an oral interview. After the interview, the candidates for SWAT School are selected.
