Modified Physical Screening Test for BUDS
  • United States
  • Military
  • Special Forces

The Naval Special Warfare Preparatory School is the first step for a candidates dream to become a Navy Seal. Here, the candidate will already go through various testings to see if he has what it takes to be a prospect for BUDS. If the candidate fails to perform, he will join other departments of the Navy.

Goal: Prepare the students for BUDS and also weed out those who will not stand a single change to become Seals in the long run

The candidate will foremost learn how to be a Navy Sailor, before embarking onto the journey into BUDs. Lost of candidates will already fail here, as they assumed they were prepared enough to embark on this journey. This little stint here takes 2 month and makes most people think twice about how bad they really want to be a Seal. You will also learn how to tie knots, basic underwater skills and about the Seals Ethos.

The journed here ends with the Modified PST, which if succesfully passed, will open the door for BUDS Training.

3. Pullups = no time limit

5. 4 mile Run

Swimmming with fins is different than regular swimming. It requires a whole lot more flexibility in ankles.
